This project was on a shot-gun style mill house in Fountain Inn, SC. The owner had purchased several homes in the area in hopes to turn them into rentals or Airbnb spaces. We were taken on site to measure the home and then given guidelines on what expectations were to be met.

My design for this mill house is going to be keeping every bit of history and charm while making the space functional for modern day living. I want to keep as much of the original molding and flooring as possible. This space is going to have many different tenants as it will serve as an Airbnb. All the fixtures and finishes need to be very durable and user friendly. I would like to use antique looking faucets and sinks to match the claw foot tubs I would like to repurpose in the home. While visiting the Fountain Inn History Museum, I came across some old speedway tickets. They were beautiful colors and I want to incorporate some of these colors into the home. Lastly, I would like to add a loft on top of the first floor of the home to give the tenants another bedroom to use.
